    About Archey's Frog

    Archey's frog (Leiopelma archeyi) is one of the world's most primitive frogs and New Zealand's smallest native frog species. These amphibians are ancient, having remained largely unchanged for millions of years. Found only in the Coromandel Peninsula, they are critically endangered with a small remaining population.
